I still owe you one last game. DGT board worked fine, but chess wise I wasn’t that satisfied. After my opponent gave me a pawn for nothing I played too sloppy. With a score of +4 =4 -1 I finished 8th. The only defeat was based on a technical error in a winning position.

The town championship is already finished but I still owe you two games. So here is a nice fight from round 8.
Another victory, but…
…my DGT board didn’t link to Lichess yesterday. DGT LiveChess 2.2.5 worked fine. Because it was only few minutes before the scheduled game I had no chance to search for the error.
Dirty Harry strikes again
In the sixth round of our online town championship I won my first – and a thrilling – game with the black pieces. Again I played on a DGT board connected to the server with DGT Live Chess on my Apple M1.
In the opening I chose the Dirty Harry Sicilian, a nice surprise weapon not only in blitz or rapid games. Perhaps it’s also playable in «over the board» tournament games at our level. I won’t tell you too much about the lines here. The repertoire was developed by «ChessExplained» Christof Sielecki. 5th round of our online town championship, second win. Again I played with my DGT chess board and DGT Live Chess and had no technical problems.

My fourth game in the online town championship was a roller coaster: A typical Leningrad Dutch opening, quite interesting maneuvers and a finish, where we both missed a win.
